A Florida-based rent-to-own tire chain is planning its first Nebraska location in Lincoln later this year.
Tim Daniel, who along with business partner Geron Vail owns several RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels stores in Kansas, said the pair has identified a couple of potential sites in Lincoln and hopes to make a decision on one and start construction on a store in the next 30 to 60 days. He declined to provide locations.
Daniel and Val have a 29-unit franchise agreement with RNR Tire Express for Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.
Daniel said the pair already have opened two stores in Wichita as well as single stores in Hutchinson and Topeka, Kansas. In addition to the Lincoln store, he said the pair plan stores in Grand Island, Kearney and North Platte.
